Our Home Remodeling Process
We specialize in complex remodeling projects. Construction has many moving parts that we know can be confusing and stressful. We believe that ongoing project communication and thoughtful planning is key to a successful project and partnership. Here is an overview of how the remodeling process with Ward Winning Homes works for you.

Let’s Talk
During this phase we will get acquainted to see if we are a good fit for each other. We ask a lot of questions to discover your vision and priorities. We will discuss your budget in relation to your vision and consider viable options. We will talk about timelines, roles in the project and what you can expect from us.
The Pre-Construction Services Agreement (PSA)
Prior to entering into a Construction Contract together, we facilitate a Pre-Construction process. With a PSA, we promise to deliver a clear construction project plan, schedule, and guaranteed price (without unforeseen issues). During the PSA process our interior designer will collaborate with you on all selections and create floor plans and detailed plans. Occasionally some demolition and discovery work are needed to create a guaranteed price for you. The PSA process will help minimize future change orders. The PSA contract does not obligate you to enter into a Construction Contract with us and you own the results of the project plan produced by the PSA.
Project Development
With all or most of the results of the PSA work in hand, we will meet with you to talk through the project. We will take the time you need to feel comfortable and confident. We will go over the scope of work, project plan, progress payments, timelines, coordination and concerns and agree on how ongoing communications will be handled.
The Construction Contract
At this point you will have approved the design, and we will have all the information to provide a guaranteed price for your project. You will meet your project manager and know who will be involved in your project from start to finish. We will provide a Contract for our mutual signatures to go ahead with production.
Project Management
During the construction phase we will manage all the details of scheduling, over site, and coordination. We will diligently keep you up to date on progress and if any unforeseen issues arise.
In-Process Changes
No matter how carefully we plan your project you may want to make some changes along the way. We are prepared to discuss these changes and price them accordingly. Our Construction Contract will explain how costs and schedule adjustments associated with your changes will be managed.
Project Completion
During the completion phase we will inspect the jobsite to ensure that craftsmanship level has been kept throughout the project. We will have a final review meeting with you to answer any operational questions. We will do a final clean-up and remove all tools and material from the jobsite.
Warranty
Finally, you will benefit from our one-year craftsmanship warranty. We will visit your home right before the warranty expires, if needed, to address any seasonal shifts and changes in new construction material.
